Greetings from the island affectionately known as " The Third World " by BryanBoy, the Philippines! Six days have passed and boy it was quite a culture shock at first. Having not been back here for the past fourteen years, I felt terribly homesick from the first day I had arrived.
I am now on the outter skirts of the capital, away from the city (which is already bigger than Singapore btw) and enjoying every minute of it. Ten days to go! I miss home and everybody at home, especially baby. 
Time to hit the mall and brave the accompanying heat and traffic. Welcome to the third world!
